China and Pakistan have jointly highlighted a 6,000-acre investment proposal as a Chinese energy delegation expressed strong interest in developing a large solar manufacturing base in Pakistan. Officials said the project would meet rising domestic demand for renewable solutions while aiming to expand exports across regional markets.
During talks with the Board of Investment, Pakistan outlined recent reforms designed to simplify investor procedures, including a single-window facilitation system. The government also presented the benefits of Special Economic Zones, where tax holidays, duty exemptions, and fully developed infrastructure offer competitive opportunities for Chinese industrial projects.
Both sides reviewed momentum from the Pakistan-China B2B conference held in Beijing, where multibillion-dollar understandings were reached. Pakistani authorities urged swift progress on feasibility studies and joint ventures, reaffirming that the next phase of CPEC centers on industrial cooperation, green technology, and job creation driven by long-term Chinese investment.
