Deepening Defence and Security Cooperation
China and Pakistan reaffirmed their strategic military partnership as an irreplaceable pillar for regional peace and balance. Both sides agreed to maintain the momentum of high-level military visits, joint training, and technology cooperation.
Counterterrorism remained central to the agenda. Islamabad and Beijing pledged zero tolerance against terrorism, stronger intelligence sharing, and capacity building. Pakistan’s frontline role in global counterterrorism was acknowledged, while China stressed the need for enhanced protection of Chinese personnel and projects in Pakistan.
Judicial and law enforcement exchanges will also expand, alongside reforms in border law enforcement. Cooperation against corruption will deepen under the Beijing Initiative for a Clean Silk Road, supporting asset recovery and rejecting safe havens for fugitives.
Commitment to Multilateralism and Regional Peace
Both nations underscored their shared vision of upholding multilateralism and a fair global governance system. Pakistan commended China’s neighbourhood diplomacy, while China reaffirmed support for Pakistan as the next president of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and during its 2025–2026 term as a UN Security Council member.
In South Asia, both sides stressed peaceful resolution of disputes and opposed unilateral actions. China reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is a historical issue that must be resolved under UN resolutions and bilateral agreements.
Global Peace and Climate Coordination
China and Pakistan called for stronger climate action, vowing to uphold the Paris Agreement and work toward equitable climate governance. They also reaffirmed their commitment to Afghanistan’s stability, urging Kabul to form an inclusive political framework and eliminate terrorist groups operating from its soil.
In the Middle East, the two sides demanded a full and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and renewed their support for a two-state solution to establish an independent Palestinian state.
