China has successfully launched its new-generation Long March-12B carrier rocket, marking a successful maiden flight from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone.
Satellite Deployment Mission Completed
The rocket lifted off at 4:40 p.m. (Beijing Time) and successfully placed a group of networking satellites for the Qianfan Constellation into their designated orbits. Moreover, the mission was officially declared a complete success by mission authorities.

Milestone in China’s Space Program
In addition, this launch marked the 647th mission in the Long March rocket series. Therefore, it represents another step forward in China’s expanding space capabilities and commercial launch services.
Advanced Rocket Design Features
The Long March-12B is a new-generation reusable rocket developed under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Furthermore, it features a two-stage configuration with advanced propulsion systems and a payload capacity of around 20 tonnes to low Earth orbit.
Expansion of Commercial Space Capabilities
Meanwhile, officials noted that the mission supports the development of large-scale satellite internet constellations. Consequently, China continues to expand its commercial space infrastructure and reusable rocket technologies for future orbital missions.
