China has extended its reduced visa fee policy until December 31, 2026, allowing tourists, business visitors, and frequent travelers to enjoy lower visa costs. This long-term measure provides clarity and budget certainty for those planning trips.
Applicants will continue to benefit from approximately 25% lower fees for single, double, and multiple-entry visas. In addition, the fingerprint exemption for short-term visas up to 180 days remains in effect, streamlining the application process.
Chinese embassies and consulates worldwide, including in France, the UK, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, have confirmed the policy’s extension. While official visa fees are reduced, separate service charges at visa application centers remain unchanged.
