In Beijing on October 20th, representatives from the EU-Asia Center, the Pakistan-China Institute, and Xingzhi Group gathered at the Spring Meeting Center in Olympic Forest Park to discuss matters related to the advancement of cultural heritage.
During the meeting, they examined the potential establishment of an international exchange platform operating under the Xuanzang Road brand. Xuanzang Road, initiated by Xingzhi Group in 2005, comprises a series of cultural events that trace the journey of Xuanzang along the Silk Road 1,300 years ago in search of Buddhist scriptures, which spanned various regions of present-day Pakistan.
Mustafa Hyder Sayed, the executive director of Pakistan China Institute, highlighted that this international exchange platform, as a vital component of the Belt and Road Initiative, is well-positioned to enhance international collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-cultural understanding. This, in turn, can foster a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity and stimulate economic growth. He further underscored the significant employment opportunities and economic benefits that the Belt and Road Initiative has brought to Pakistan, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to further expand cooperation with China.
