The Gwadar Development Authority launched blacktopping work on the Jannat Bazaar–Old Eidgah Road link on May 20. This activity is part of the Old Town Rehabilitation Project.
The initiative focuses on improving road access in Gwadar’s historic residential areas.
Key Urban Routes Under Upgradation
Officials identified the Jannat Bazaar–Old Eidgah route as a vital connection for local residents. Meanwhile, construction teams are also upgrading the stretch from Kitab Chowk toward Marine Drive.
In parallel, crews are carrying out paving, tuff tiling, and expansion work across multiple streets.
Infrastructure and City Improvement Efforts
The rehabilitation drive strengthens infrastructure in older neighborhoods. It also enhances public facilities and overall urban appearance.
At the same time, the project preserves Gwadar’s cultural and historical identity while introducing modern upgrades.
Ongoing Work Under Active Supervision
Construction teams continue rapid work across several parts of the city. Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan and Project Director Mir Doda Khan Marri oversee the progress closely.
Consequently, improved roads and better connectivity are steadily emerging across Gwadar’s old town areas.
