The GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital has launched a modern endoscopy unit in Gwadar. The development marks a major step in improving healthcare services in the region.
Authorities inaugurated the facility on April 29, coinciding with the hospital’s second anniversary.
Improved Access to Diagnostic Services
Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch inaugurated the unit. He described the facility as a valuable addition for residents of Gwadar and nearby areas.
He emphasized that patients can now access timely diagnosis and treatment locally. Previously, many people had to travel to Karachi or other cities for such services.
First-of-Its-Kind Facility in Gwadar
Head of Campus Dr. Affan Faiqzada highlighted the importance of the launch. He noted that this is the first time endoscopy services are available in Gwadar.
As a result, doctors can now diagnose conditions related to the stomach, intestines, and digestive system more efficiently.
Enhancing Local Healthcare Capacity
The new unit strengthens the hospital’s ability to handle complex medical cases. It also reduces treatment delays and healthcare costs for patients.
Moreover, improved access to diagnostic tools will enhance overall medical care in the region.
Officials Attend Inauguration Ceremony
Several officials attended the ceremony, including Haji Syed Muhammad and Changez Khan.
In addition, District Health Officer Yasir Tahir Baloch and other representatives joined the event. Hospital staff and community members also participated in the celebration.
