The newly appointed Chinese Consul General in Lahore, Sun Yan, met with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor House, Lahore. The meeting emphasized continuing Pak-China cooperation at all levels and expanding bilateral relations across multiple sectors.
Governor Khan highlighted the deep bond of trust and mutual support between Pakistan and China. He acknowledged the role of former President Asif Ali Zardari in advancing CPEC, noting his 14 official visits to China between 2008 and 2013.
Both officials stressed enhancing partnerships in education and research. Pakistani students increasingly prefer higher education in China, and both sides agreed to promote more delegation exchanges in education and business, strengthening long-term collaboration.
