Karachi has inaugurated a new route for China-manufactured electric buses, reflecting growing Pakistan-China cooperation in sustainable urban development under CPEC.
The launch ceremony, held by the Sindh Transport Department, was attended by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, and other officials.
Officials highlighted that the new electric bus route will reduce carbon emissions, improve commuter comfort, and address long-standing transportation challenges in Gulshan-e-Maymar, marking a milestone in modernizing the city’s public transport system.
