Under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has finalized a comprehensive framework to transform the city into a modern and sustainable port hub.
Officials revealed the plan during a meeting on micro-planning and land use chaired by Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan, with participation from GDA engineers and town planning directors. The framework allocates designated land for residential, commercial, mixed-use areas, roads, and public facilities.
Five implementation models were presented to ensure effective execution, including land acquisition, land pooling, development collaboration, and private-sector participation. The GDA emphasized that these measures aim to provide investors with secure and profitable opportunities, particularly in real estate, tourism, and trade, supporting Gwadar’s emergence as a regional economic center.
