China remained the largest source of foreign direct investment in Pakistan, contributing the biggest share of total inflows, according to official data released by the central bank.
Chinese investment continues to support key sectors including infrastructure, financial services, and manufacturing, reinforcing long-standing economic ties between the two countries. Other contributors included the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Despite strong Chinese participation, overall foreign investment declined compared with the previous year, reflecting broader economic challenges and global uncertainty affecting capital flows into Pakistan.
