Pakistan became China’s third-largest supplier of construction stone materials in 2025, exporting marble, onyx, and calcareous building stone amid steady demand from China’s construction and interior decoration sectors.
According to China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC), Pakistan exported 31.74 million kilograms of calcareous building stone worth $8.10 million. Türkiye and Bulgaria ranked first and second in the category.
Exports of cut marble products increased slightly, showing gradual movement toward value-added stone exports. Industry representatives said demand for Pakistani marble and onyx typically rises before the Chinese New Year due to decorative installations and cultural designs.
