The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced that it will begin printing new currency notes of two to three denominations after receiving cabinet approval.
SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad said the redesigned notes will feature improved security and modern designs. Printing will start once the government finalizes approvals.
The final designs have been sent to the government and forwarded to the cabinet. The notes will be released gradually once sufficient stock is ready for future circulation.
