On January 20, 2026, Wang Huning, Chairman of China’s CPPCC, met with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Beijing. The meeting highlighted the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and focused on expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
Wang Huning said that previous meetings between President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders in 2025 provided new strategic guidance. Both sides agreed to implement shared understandings, enhance trade, economy, and personnel training, and accelerate the development of the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic partnership.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the One-China principle and pledged to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and projects. He emphasized strengthening bilateral ties, supporting global initiatives, and promoting long-term collaboration in trade and development.
