The Board of Investment Minister conducted a detailed review of Pakistan’s engagement with China under CPEC Phase Two, emphasizing the development of Special Economic Zones and strengthening business-to-business cooperation. The focus is on accelerating industrialization, investment facilitation, and export-oriented growth.
Key achievements include the expansion of SEZs across the country, progress on Karachi Industrial Park, and initiatives in Gilgit-Baltistan. Measures are being implemented to ensure smooth project execution, utility provision, and operational readiness of approved SEZs, boosting investor confidence.
The minister highlighted that 2026 will mark 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, with special initiatives planned to commemorate the milestone. These efforts aim to enhance sustainable industrial growth, create employment opportunities, and deepen bilateral collaboration between the two countries.
