Pakistan and China jointly urged the Afghan Taliban to take visible, verifiable steps to dismantle terrorist groups and ensure Afghanistan is not used for attacks against other nations. The call came during the Seventh China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue in Beijing, co-chaired by Foreign Ministers Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi.
The two countries reaffirmed their all-weather strategic partnership and zero tolerance for terrorism, emphasizing enhanced security cooperation, coordination on regional and global issues, and support for each other’s core interests. They also pledged to expand CPEC 2.0, boost trade, IT, education, science, and cultural exchanges, and enhance Pakistan’s sustainable development capacity.
Both sides highlighted the importance of international cooperation and dialogue for regional stability, including peace in Gaza and resolution of Jammu and Kashmir issues under UN frameworks. Commemorative activities were announced to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations, strengthening China-Pakistan ties in 2026 and beyond.
