China has reiterated that its foreign policy is centered on partnerships rather than military or political alliances, dismissing speculation about providing security guarantees to so-called global allies. The statement was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a media briefing in Beijing.
Responding to a question related to regional tensions and Iran, Lin said China firmly opposes external interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. He expressed hope that Iran would overcome current challenges, maintain stability, and move forward through peaceful means.
China, he added, remains committed to upholding the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law. Beijing will continue working with the global community to promote fairness, justice, and peace, particularly in conflict-affected regions such as the Middle East.
