Kuwait China port project agreement was signed as the Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works and China Communications Construction Company concluded an EPC contract for the first phase of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port on Boubyan Island.
Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah called the project a symbol of strong bilateral friendship, while Chinese officials said it marks a milestone in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and supports Kuwait’s economic diversification plans.
CCCC officials said the port will be built using Chinese standards and advanced technology, aiming to turn Mubarak Al-Kabeer into a regional trade hub and a flagship project under Kuwait Vision 2035.
