Russia China relations have hit a new peak, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov said while addressing an ambassador forum in Beijing. He described bilateral ties as a model of cooperation between major powers, highlighting deep political trust and steady progress.
The ambassador noted that 2026 will mark key milestones, including 25 years of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and 30 years of strategic partnership. He said mutual visa-free travel has significantly boosted people-to-people exchanges and tourism between both nations.
Morgulov added that Russia and China act as stabilizing forces in global politics, supporting a multipolar world. He praised China’s balanced stance on global conflicts and reaffirmed Russia’s respect for China’s core interests, including regional sovereignty.
