Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that all dams under construction in Gwadar will be dedicated solely to drinking water supply. This directive comes in response to severe water shortages affecting the region for over two years.
During a PSDP parliamentary committee meeting, CM Bugti highlighted the urgent need to address the drought-like conditions in Gwadar. He emphasized that uninterrupted access to clean drinking water is critical for residents.
Authorities have been instructed to accelerate ongoing dam projects to ensure their timely completion. The initiative aims to provide Gwadar’s population with a reliable and safe water supply, helping to mitigate the ongoing water crisis in the area.
