The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan hosted Sangam Gala 2025, a landmark event aimed at reinforcing ties between Chinese and Pakistani communities and leaders. Attended by Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, and Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman of the Pakistan-China Institute, the gathering brought together representatives from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.
Participants spanned government officials, political parties, religious groups, media, and think tanks, representing all age groups. During the sessions, attendees shared insights into their countries’ development trajectories, recounted notable examples of China-Pakistan friendship, and explored avenues to deepen collaboration.
Both nations highlighted that ongoing modernisation in Pakistan and China has created extensive partnership opportunities. Special emphasis was placed on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, on promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, on high-standard opening-up initiatives, and on building a community with a shared future. These initiatives provide momentum to upgrade CPEC and strengthen bilateral economic globalisation efforts.
The event reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to practical cooperation, expanding CPEC projects, and fostering a lasting China-Pakistan partnership.
