Pakistan is making a notable step towards strengthening its role in the global digital landscape, with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, currently showcasing Pakistan at the prestigious World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2025 in Shanghai.
Shaza is leading the official delegation from Pakistan. She’s presenting the nation’s digital transformation agenda and highlighting its innovation receptiveness with advanced technologies, smart framework, and data-driven innovation. The Pakistani minister’s attendance at the global forum is noted as a step forward in Pakistan’s ambition to become an active contributor to the international AI ecosystem.
The conference, which brings together leading voices in tech, governance, and industry, is a key avenue for discussion on AI-led development. As a component of her outreach, the minister also held an advanced talk with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong.
