Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to visit the European Union Headquarters, Germany, and France from June 30 to July 6, where he will participate in a series of high-level diplomatic engagements, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Friday.
During his visit to Brussels, Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will hold the 13th round of the China-EU High-level Strategic Dialogue and meet separately with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot.
In Germany, Wang will attend the eighth round of the China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security. He will also travel to France for discussions with the French Foreign Minister and to participate in the China-France high-level dialogue mechanism on people-to-people exchanges.
According to the spokesperson, Wang’s visit comes at the invitation of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.
