PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince discuss Middle East tensions while having a phone conversation on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan is prepared to engage in constructive dialogue with India on all critical issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, water disputes, trade, and terrorism.
He made these remarks during a phone conversation on Tuesday with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its consistent support during Pakistan’s recent tensions with India.
Both leaders also discussed the rapidly changing situation in the Middle East.
In this context, Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the immediate de-escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict and emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution through diplomacy and dialogue.
Referring to recent attacks, he stressed the importance of adherence to international law and the principles of the UN Charter, and reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a warm and cordial exchange, the Prime Minister extended his respects to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He also congratulated Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the successful completion of Hajj and thanked Saudi Arabia for its hospitality toward Pakistani pilgrims.
Shehbaz Sharif praised the Crown Prince’s wise leadership and contributions to regional peace, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s vital role as a peacemaker and leader of the Muslim Ummah.
In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Prime Minister for the call and appreciated Pakistan’s solidarity and support.
He acknowledged Pakistan’s positive role in seeking a peaceful resolution to the Iran-Israel conflict and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to long-term peace and stability in the Middle East.
