Shehbaz Sharif honors morale in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos as he visited the Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot where he was provided briefing.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot today to praise the outstanding courage and professionalism displayed by the troops during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, which is part of The Marqa-e-Haq.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar.
The visit was also attended by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
During the visit, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on the battle’s execution and the current operational readiness of the Corps.
Shehbaz Sharif commended the Armed Forces for their exemplary role in Marka-e-Haq, praising their heroic defense of the country and their decisive response to the enemy’s aggression. He said history will remember how Pakistan’s defenders swiftly and precisely repelled India’s unprovoked attack.
While engaging with officers and soldiers at the frontline, the Prime Minister applauded their high spirits, exceptional discipline, and unwavering preparedness.
He further expressed that Pakistan takes great pride in its courageous forces, calling them the nation’s most valuable asset. He condemned the aggression against innocent civilians, which resulted in the martyrdom of women, children, and the elderly, calling India’s labeling of them as terrorists shameful and in violation of international laws and ethics. He criticized India for refusing Pakistan’s offer of impartial investigations and launching an offensive based on false claims and arrogance, which received a strong response.
The Prime Minister also stated that the nation will always honor and be indebted to its martyrs.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Army Chief and the Corps Commander of Gujranwala.
