Pakistani auto ventures shine at Shanghai Auto Show 2025 as the forum served as a platform for cooperation on the international stage.
A large number of officials and dealers from China-Pakistan joint-venture automakers are participating in the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. On April 24, Changan Pakistan announced that it made history by bringing the largest-ever Pakistani delegation of 50 representatives to the event.
Changan Pakistan said the delegation, comprising Master Changan’s dealers and team members, highlighted Pakistan’s growing importance in Changan’s international strategy.
During the visit, the group attended the 2025 Changan Automobile Overseas Partners Conference, where Pakistan was recognized as a key strategic partner under Changan’s global “Vast Ocean Plan.” The delegation also took part in test drives and toured Changan’s latest innovations, its digital smart factory, and its Global Research & Development Centre.
Similarly, a delegation from Haval Pakistan, a joint venture between Sazgar Engineering and Great Wall Motors of China, also attended the Shanghai Auto Show.
Haval Pakistan revealed that GWM Pakistan won 10 awards at the GWM Annual Awards 2025, securing the second-highest number of awards among participants from 80 countries, according to Abuzar Butt, DGM Marketing at Sazgar.
Separately, MG Motors Pakistan, a joint venture between China’s SAIC Motors and Pakistan’s JW SEZ Group, announced it has been appointed as the official distributor for IM Brands during the Shanghai Auto Show 2025.
The 21st edition of the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2025) is currently being held in Shanghai from April 23 to May 2.
