The fourth edition of the Health, Engineering, and Minerals Show (HEMS 2025) kicked off on Thursday at Lahore’s Expo Centre, drawing significant international attention, particularly from a record number of Chinese companies.
Jointly organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce, the three-day exhibition (April 17–19) features more than 194 exhibitors and around 900 delegates representing 70 countries.
Ghulam Qadir, Trade and Investment Counsellor at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, praised the strong Chinese turnout, stating that the growing presence of Chinese firms at HEMS 2025 underscores the strengthening economic relationship between China and Pakistan. He emphasized the event’s role in boosting sectoral partnerships, particularly in engineering and healthcare.
He further mentioned that over 200 Chinese delegates are attending this year’s show, which, in his view, signals their trust in the promising prospects of Pakistan’s healthcare, engineering, and minerals industries.
Jian Peng Philp, serving as an Honorary Investment Counsellor and attendee, also underlined the show’s significance as a platform for collaboration. He described HEMS 2025 as a key venue for Chinese businesses to connect with Pakistani partners and explore opportunities in innovative sectors like healthcare and engineering.
Jian also noted that the exhibition is likely to enhance Pakistan’s standing in the global market and contribute to the development of enduring international business ties.
HEMS 2025 is centered on encouraging worldwide cooperation and investment across the healthcare, engineering, and minerals sectors, encompassing areas such as pharmaceuticals, automotive components, and mining.
