PM Shehbaz stresses unity against terrorism asserting that peace is crucial for Pakistan’s growth.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces are making the ultimate sacrifice to eliminate terrorism from the country.
While addressing a review meeting on law and order in Quetta, the Prime Minister stressed that this is not the time for political divisions. He urged the nation to unite against terrorism to ensure a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
Speaking about the tragic incident in Kalat, he stated that security forces successfully neutralized 23 Khawarij, while 18 soldiers were martyred in the operation.
Honoring the martyrs and the wounded soldiers, Shehbaz Sharif expressed the nation’s deep respect for the armed forces and paid tribute to their sacrifices. He also acknowledged the families of the martyrs, recognizing their immense contribution to the country.
The Prime Minister asserted that establishing peace is crucial for Pakistan’s progress and development. He expressed confidence that the sacrifices of security personnel will lead to a stable and peaceful nation.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that past mistakes are now being corrected through the dedication of brave soldiers. He urged the entire nation to stand united against terrorism with full determination.
He also called on political leaders and the public to maintain solidarity in pursuit of national peace and stability.
Earlier, during his one-day visit to Quetta, the Prime Minister met with provincial leaders and received a briefing on the security situation in Balochistan.
Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed at the airport by Balochistan Governor Jaffer Khan Mandokhel and Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.
During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif also went to CMH Quetta to check on the injured security personnel who fought courageously in the Kalat operation.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Power Minister Owais Leghari.
