Xi emphasizes bolstering China-Brazil friendship, highlighting China’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
Chinese President Xi Jinping recently responded to letters from various prominent figures in Brazil, expressing his gratitude and encouraging them to continue fostering the China-Brazil friendship.
In his response, Xi expressed his pleasure in seeing the enduring bond between China and Brazil, which has thrived for over 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. He emphasized that both nations have stood together through challenges, building a friendship that transcends borders.
Xi also stated that China is committed to strengthening this friendship in the new era, aiming to make the China-Brazil relationship a model of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual benefit among major developing countries. He also expressed the desire to contribute more to global peace and progress.
He invited Brazilian friends to visit China more often to witness firsthand the country’s modernization achievements.
Xi further expressed his hope that people from all sectors in both nations will continue to play an active role in advancing China-Brazil relations, ensuring the enduring flow of their friendship, akin to the Yangtze and Amazon rivers.
Recently, Enrique Teixeira, former deputy mayor of Campinas in Sao Paulo State, along with over 100 individuals from the Brazil-China Friendship Association, Sao Paulo University, Sao Paulo State University, and the Copacabana Fort Orchestra in Rio de Janeiro, wrote letters to Xi, expressing their thanks to China for its contributions to fostering friendly exchanges and improving the livelihoods of local people.
