RAWALPINDI – Li Qiaoming, Chinese military commander vows to strengthen strategic ties in Meeting with Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif during his official visit.
Commander of the Ground Forces of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) General Li Qiaoming met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif during his official visit.
Pakistani premier extended warm welcome to General Quiaoming and stressed to further cementing partnership between Islamabad and Beijing, describing them as All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partners and trusted allies.
PM Sharif highlighted deep-rooted relationship between the two nations, noting that it enjoys widespread support across public, political, and institutional spheres in Pakistan. He said these ties are crucial for the progress and development of both countries and are the cornerstone of their bilateral relationship.
General Li, in his remarks, reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to its relationship with Pakistan, referring to the two nations as iron brothers, strategic partners, and reliable friends. He expressed China’s desire to further elevate their bilateral friendship through enhanced cooperation and collaboration.
Acknowledging the significant role of Pakistan’s armed forces in promoting regional peace, stability, and counterterrorism efforts, General Li reiterated the PLA’s dedication to deepening military cooperation and enhancing the capabilities of both countries’ armed forces.
The discussions centered on various facets of the Pakistan-China relationship, particularly their defense and strategic partnership.
