Nine Indian-sponsored Khwarij terrorists were killed and eight captured during a joint intelligence-based operation in Malakand District, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The four-day operation was carried out jointly by Pakistan’s security forces, police, Levies, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and district administration following reports of the presence of terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group, Fitna al-Khwarij. The operation concluded on Sunday.
Security personnel successfully surrounded and engaged the Khwarij, dismantling two of their hideouts and seizing a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
Residents of the area welcomed the operation and voiced their support for the state’s efforts to combat terrorism.
A follow-up sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining elements. Security forces and law enforcement agencies, with the backing of the nation, remain committed to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan Army, police, Levies, CTD, and local administration for their coordinated efforts in the successful mission against Fitna al-Khawarij.
In his statement, the Prime Minister lauded the forces for neutralizing nine terrorists and emphasized the operation as a model of inter-agency coordination. He reaffirmed the nation’s full support for security forces and reiterated his commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms from the country.
