Zardari thanks President Xi for goodwill message as he sent warm wishes in a letter following President Zardari’s recent injury.
President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed gratitude to his Chinese counterpart for his well-wishes following an injury.
Last month, President Zardari suffered a foot fracture while disembarking from an airplane upon his arrival in Dubai. The injury led to the postponement of his planned visit to China on November 2, as doctors recommended a four-week rest period.
In a letter dated November 3, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended his concern and warm wishes for President Zardari’s swift recovery, according to a statement released by the President House’s press office.
President Xi also reiterated the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan and extended an invitation for President Zardari to visit China.
Reports indicate that the dates for President Zardari’s rescheduled visit have not been confirmed.
In response, President Zardari expressed appreciation for the concern shown by Chinese leaders and citizens. “I look forward to visiting China at an appropriate time in the near future,” he conveyed.
The two leaders reaffirmed the significance of the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” shared by their nations.
President Xi emphasized the commitment to fostering a China-Pakistan community with a shared vision for the future.
