India’s early morning missile strikes triggered a strong response from Pakistan, which has launched a retaliatory operation named Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
At approximately 3:30 AM, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that India had launched missile attacks on three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases — Nur Khan (Rawalpindi), Murid (Chakwal), and Rafiqui (Shorkot, Jhang). He assured the public that all air force assets remained unharmed.
During a press briefing, Lt Gen Chaudhry accused India of endangering regional peace through reckless behavior, aggression, and deceitful tactics. He also revealed that India had expanded its offensive by launching missiles into Afghanistan and using drones for attacks.
He further stated that most of the Indian missiles aimed at Pakistani airbases were intercepted by the military’s air defense systems.
Regarding the few missiles that managed to bypass defense systems, the ISPR chief emphasized that they caused no damage to any PAF aircraft, based on preliminary damage assessments.
