Vice President Han Zheng, acting as President Xi Jinping’s special representative, will attend the inauguration ceremony of U.S. President Donald Trump on January 20 in Washington, D.C., according to an announcement by a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Friday.
China approaches its relationship with the United States based on principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, the spokesperson emphasized.
The spokesperson further stated that China is prepared to collaborate with the incoming U.S. administration to strengthen dialogue and communication, address differences constructively, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly work towards a stable, healthy, and sustainable China-U.S. relationship, while seeking an effective way for the two nations to coexist.
