Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, emphasized the importance of promoting the healthy and high-quality growth of China’s private sector during a meeting on Monday.
During the symposium on private enterprises, Xi, who also serves as China’s president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered a key speech after listening to private entrepreneurs’ representatives.
Xi noted that the private sector has vast potential and prospects as China embarks on its new journey in this new era. He highlighted that now is an ideal time for private enterprises and entrepreneurs to fully utilize their capabilities.
He urged fostering consensus and strengthening confidence to ensure the sustainable and high-quality development of the private sector.
The symposium was also attended by Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of China, and Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of China.
The meeting was presided over by Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
