Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent separate messages of condolence to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the deadly crash of an Air India flight.
President Xi said he was deeply shocked by the news of the crash and its heavy toll. Speaking on behalf of the Chinese government and people, he extended heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of lives, expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured, and wished those hurt a speedy recovery.
On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also conveyed a message of condolence to Prime Minister Modi.
