In response to media queries about Israel’s recent airstrikes on various targets inside Iran, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian expressed serious concern on Friday, emphasizing China’s deep concerns over the potentially grave consequences of such actions.
He stressed that China firmly opposes any breaches of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security, and stands against moves that intensify regional tensions or broaden the conflict. Lin noted that a resurgence of heightened instability in the region serves no party’s interests.
Lin urged all stakeholders to contribute constructively to regional peace and stability, calling for efforts to prevent further escalation. He affirmed China’s readiness to play a positive and constructive role in helping to ease the situation.
