Chinese President Xi Jinping departed from Beijing on Wednesday to participate in the 31st APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Lima, Peru, and to conduct a state visit to the country at the invitation of Peru’s President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra.
President Xi is accompanied by Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, as well as Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and China’s foreign minister.
