Xi also expressed his hope that Japan would work with China to uphold the principles and agreements outlined in the four key political documents between the two countries, aiming to advance a strategic partnership that benefits both and fosters a stable and constructive relationship for the new era.
On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also sent his congratulations to Ishiba.
Li emphasized the importance of preserving the political foundation of bilateral relations and called for strengthening friendship, trust, and cooperation to better serve the people of both nations.
