President Xi commits to build China Vietnam shared community owing to the socialist goals of both countries.
Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his willingness on Saturday to collaborate with Vietnamese leaders to deepen strategic trust, enhance practical cooperation, and achieve significant progress in building a China-Vietnam community with shared strategic significance.
Speaking on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties, Xi, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, exchanged congratulatory messages with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
Xi highlighted that China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, form a community with a shared future of strategic importance. Reflecting on their 75-year-long diplomatic relationship, Xi noted that the two nations have supported each other in their struggles for independence and liberation, fostering a deep bond described as “comrades and brothers.”
In their socialist development, the two countries have shared experiences and worked closely together, deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation. Xi emphasized that the shared ideals and common goals of both nations are defining characteristics of their relationship.
Additionally. recalling his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi underscored the commitment made by both nations to advance a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, marking a new chapter in their bilateral relations.
Xi also noted that amidst the profound changes in the world, adhering to the socialist path holds significant implications for the future of China, Vietnam, and the global socialist cause. This collaboration contributes to peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
He further emphasized the importance of bilateral ties and expressed his readiness to work with Vietnamese leaders, leveraging the milestones of the 75th anniversary and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. Xi urged continued efforts toward socialist modernization, aiming to benefit the people of both nations and contribute to global development and the progress of humanity.
