Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday emphasized the crucial role of Jiangsu Province, an economic powerhouse in eastern China, in driving the nation’s overall development.
As the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi made these remarks while participating in a deliberation with lawmakers from Jiangsu during the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress, China’s top legislative body.
Xi highlighted that Jiangsu should take the lead in integrating technological advancements with industrial innovation, deepening reforms, expanding high-level opening up, and executing key national development strategies. He also stressed that the province should serve as a model for achieving shared prosperity.
