Chinese President Xi Jinping stated on Thursday that China is prepared to collaborate with other nations to build a global network fostering dialogue and cooperation among civilizations.
Xi, who is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, conveyed this message in a congratulatory letter addressed to the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting held in Beijing.
He affirmed China’s commitment to promoting equality, mutual learning, dialogue, and inclusivity among civilizations through the implementation of the Global Civilization Initiative, aiming to contribute to global peace, development, and the advancement of human civilization.
Xi emphasized that the world is inherently diverse in civilizations, and history has demonstrated that mutual exchanges and learning are crucial for cultural flourishing and human progress.
Acknowledging today’s complex global landscape, Xi highlighted the urgent need for civilizations to overcome divisions through dialogue and replace conflicts with mutual understanding.
He also expressed his hope that the meeting’s participants would engage in meaningful discussions, foster consensus, and contribute to enhancing global understanding, friendship, and the peaceful coexistence of different cultures.
