KUNMING, Dec. 17 – Professor Dr. Attaullah Shah, Vice-Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU) in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan, showcased collaborative achievements and delved into future prospects during the 6th Kunming Higher Education Forum held on Dec 15.
Dr. Attaullah Shah said that as a key player in international collaborations, KIU is an active member of the CPEC Universities Consortium, ANSO-BIDI network, and South and Southeast Universities network. EH announced a groundbreaking initiative, sending 200 students in tourism, hospitality, forestry, and horticulture to esteemed Chinese universities for immersive learning in modern technologies.
Looking to the post-pandemic era, Mr. Shah advocated for increased partnerships. KIU’s recent International Conference on Climate-Induced Natural Disasters and Mitigation, supported by the CPEC Universities Consortium and HEC funding, exemplifies this commitment. Notably, Chinese scientists from the Academy of Sciences actively participated alongside experts from Switzerland, Norway, the UK, the US, and Pakistan.
