A high-level US delegation led by J.D. Vance has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the Islamabad Talks. The delegation also includes Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
Welcoming the US Vice President, Ishaq Dar appreciated the United States’ commitment to promoting regional and global peace. Moreover, he emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue during the talks.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s role as a facilitator. He expressed hope that all parties would work toward a lasting and peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
Overall, the visit highlights Islamabad’s growing role as a diplomatic hub for high-stakes international negotiations.
