Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit to Pakistan this week, as confirmed by Turkish officials.
Fahrettin Altun, Turkey’s Director of Communications, announced on X that President Erdogan will travel to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan during the week.
According to Altun, Erdogan’s visit to these nations is scheduled from February 10 to 13.
During his visit, the Turkish president will engage in discussions covering all aspects of bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation through key initiatives.
The Turkish official further stated that following his visit to Malaysia, Erdogan will co-chair the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meetings in both Indonesia and Pakistan.
Altun also noted that agreements are likely to be signed to enhance the legal framework of bilateral relations, and Erdogan is expected to meet with business leaders in each host country.
Gaza will be a key focus during the discussions, along with various regional and global issues.
Previously, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari met with Erdogan during a brief stopover in Istanbul, Türkiye, on his way to Portugal.
The meeting took place at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport State Guesthouse before Erdogan’s departure for Malaysia.
During his visit, Zardari was welcomed by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The two leaders exchanged greetings before engaging in a meaningful discussion on mutual interests, as stated by the President’s Press Wing in Islamabad. Prior to this stay, President Zardari completed a five day official visit to China where both countries engaged in high-level bilateral discussions.
