Türkiye President Erdogan arrives in Islamabad where he was welcomed by top officials including President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Pakistan on Wednesday for a two-day official visit.
At Nur Khan Airbase, he was greeted with a grand reception by top Pakistani officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other senior government representatives. In his honor, a 21-gun salute was fired, while Pakistan Air Force jets escorted his aircraft as it entered the country’s airspace, underscoring the importance of the visit. Erdogan was accompanied by a high-level delegation.
As part of the welcoming ceremony, two children dressed in traditional attire presented bouquets to President Erdogan and the First Lady. A military band performed, while children enthusiastically waved the national flags of Pakistan and Turkey, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
During his stay, Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will jointly preside over the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), which aims to enhance bilateral cooperation. He will also hold separate meetings with both Prime Minister Sharif and President Zardari to discuss key issues.
Additionally, President Erdogan and PM Shehbaz Sharif will address the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, an important gathering that will bring together leading investors and business figures from both nations to explore economic opportunities.
To highlight the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries, Pakistan and Turkey’s flags adorned the airbase and the route of President Erdogan’s motorcade, creating a symbolic display of friendship and cooperation.
