Students from China-Pakistan school visit Gwadar Port to provide an insight to the students about the important developments in process in the region.
Students and staff from the China-Pakistan Government Girls Middle School in Faqeer Colony undertook an educational trip to Gwadar Port and its related facilities. The visit encompassed the Gwadar Free Zone, the Gwadar Business Centre, the Desalination Plant, a greenhouse, and the Gwadar Port Terminal. According to trip coordinator Naseem Baloch, the purpose of this educational outing was to deepen the students’ understanding of significant economic and infrastructural advancements in the area.
The primary aim of the visit was to provide students with direct insights into the operations and significance of Gwadar Port, which is a crucial component of Pakistan’s economy and a key element of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Consequently, by touring various facilities, the students were able to bridge their theoretical knowledge with practical applications in logistics, trade, and sustainable development.
Moreover, this visit broadened the students’ viewpoints, enabling them to comprehend concepts related to regional development, trade, and sustainability. Naseem further emphasized that engaging with these important locations allowed the students to relate their academic studies to real-life situations, fostering critical thinking about the impact of infrastructure on economic growth and community development.
The study tour was organized by the China Overseas Ports Holding Company, which regularly hosts such visits and invites local students to learn firsthand about successful projects being implemented between China and Pakistan, Naseem noted.
