A significant step towards bolstering cultural cooperation and development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, was taken with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Provincial Department of Local Government, Elections and Rural Development (LGE&RDD) and China Window, a prominent Chinese cultural center in Peshawar.
The MoU outlines a collaborative effort to foster and deepen the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and China, with a particular emphasis on promoting Chinese culture within the province. The agreement includes the establishment of a dedicated section within China Window dedicated to the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, the MoU involves extending support for the teaching of the Chinese language at Peshawar Municipal School and College.
Furthermore, the agreement aims to strengthen cultural relations between sister cities Abbottabad, Pakistan, and Kashgar, China, as well as Peshawar, Pakistan, and Urumqi, China. These efforts are geared towards enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration between the regions, building on the existing sister city status.
