PESHAWAR, Dec. 9 – “Stringent measures have been taken to enhance security of ongoing projects within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. To fulfill this goal, a dedicated security department has been set up in the province.” interim Chief Minister KP, Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, stated.
The chief minister made the remarks at a media interaction held at the “China Window” at the Chinese Cultural Center in Peshawar on Thursday.
Syed Arshad Hussain Shah said that the provincial government is making all efforts to establish lasting peace in the province and the police and security forces are vigilant in this regard. “With peace, foreign investors will be encouraged to invest and tourists will flock to admire the province’s natural beauty.”
“The Rashakai Special Economic Zone (RSEZ) has attracted local and foreign investors, thus not only boosting economic activities in the province but also creating substantial employment opportunities for local residents,” said Mr. Shah, who added, “We should promise that they can come to our province without fear or danger.”
Chief Minister Shah further stated, “The CPEC will help stabilize our economy and the Pakistani government is making every effort to expedite the completion of ongoing projects under the CPEC within a short period of time.”

Mr. Shah said that Pakistan-China friendship is as enduring as the Himalayas, as sweet as honey, and as deep as the ocean. “These sentiments reflect the feelings that every Pakistani has developed over seven decades, bringing people closer and strengthening the bonds of friendship,” he added.
