Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) in Pakistan has entered into a partnership with Jiangsu Food and Pharmaceutical Science College in China to launch a joint three-year diploma in Intelligent Food Processing Technology.
Announced on April 22, the collaboration was made possible by Chinese educational facilitators ITMC China and UNI International. Under the agreement, the Chinese college will provide its technological know-how and digital tools to assist with curriculum design, platform setup, and instructor training.
According to UNI International, this initiative is part of a larger Chinese government policy that supports its vocational institutions in forming global partnerships. Financial backing is provided from within China to encourage cross-border collaboration and mutual capacity enhancement.
A representative from UNI International shared with Gwadar Pro that Chinese colleges are being guided to seek cooperation with institutions in countries with strong diplomatic relations, with the goal of deepening hands-on educational and skill-based ties.
By incorporating China’s advanced vocational education practices, the program aims to elevate Sindh TEVTA’s training capabilities to international standards, particularly in innovative sectors such as intelligent food processing.
